HOW TIME FLIES! - 1.5 YEARS OF DIATRON'S APAC OFFICE
It has already been 1.5 years since the opening of the brand-new Diatron office in the APAC region.With this new office in India, holding technical support training sessions and having meetings has become easier and more convenient for our partners.
We interviewed Deepak Sharma, Diatron's APAC Sales Director and Dr. Pawan K Gupta, Country Sales manager - India to gain insights into how the new office has impacted Diatron’s presence in the APAC region.
The Diatron office in New Delhi opened in November 2023. How was the first year?
"The opening of Diatron’s Center of Excellence in New Delhi, India, in the Asia Pacific region proved to be a significant milestone. Diatron’s APAC office has emerged as a place of confluence, with over 50 key decision-making business meetings attended by international and national business leaders. There were 27 training sessions by global experts in the Hematology and Clinical Chemistry fields, in which over 100 experienced industry engineers from leading global IVD companies across the Asia Pacific region were thoroughly trained on the application and service aspects of state-of-the-art Hematology and Clinical Chemistry analyzers."
Was it hard to implement the brand in the APAC region?
"Interesting question indeed! Since we are not a B2C company but a B2B organization, those who needed to know that Diatron had entered the APAC region in physical form received the information quickly and were very glad about this development. "Closer is better" was on the lips of our 60+ partners/distributors in the APAC region. Diatron is well-known in the region within the industry, and hence, the sector started benefiting from day one, engaging at a high level through business meetings, training sessions, and excellent service support."
How was the partner’s feedback about opening a new office?
"Their faces clearly showed their positive feedback when we hosted them at the launch of the office and all of them were very positive about this promising and encouraging developments."
Why is it important for Diatron to be present in India?
"The APAC region has been a growth market for a long time and a significant business contributor to Diatron. Due to India’s emerging demand for economical solutions, it became imperative for us to establish a presence there.
Asia, as a region, is a burgeoning diagnostics market. This office has enabled us to offer services and support to both existing and new customers in the region more swiftly and efficiently, expediting project progress and leading to better outcomes. As mentioned earlier, the objective was to enhance communication capabilities. With geographical proximity, we promised to eliminate language barriers and foster a more productive collaboration, and we are achieving that."
What services do we offer in our APAC office?
"Apart from routine business meetings, the APAC office has served a great purpose in imparting high-quality international training sessions in the presence of global experts in their respective domains. It has also helped us conduct efficient demonstrations of analyzers and initiate formalities related to local operations. Above all, we have gained the confidence of our partners by showing our physical presence and coming closer to them."
